The Carbon Trust created the Ventures team to reimagine how complex systems work to solve intractable environmental problems.The team co-creates companies and initiatives that redefine how organisations, policymakers, and individuals work together to create value and tackle climate change. As MD of Low Carbon Workplace and Director of Ventures, Eric Lounsbury leads our existing joint venture –theLow Carbon Workplace property fund –and the development of new high-potential ventures.

Prior to joining the Carbon Trust, Eric was part of the Sustainability Solutions practice at Dupont in Geneva and was previously a Senior Associate in ICF International’s Climate Change Strategy practice in London and San Francisco. Eric holds an MBA with distinction from London Business School and a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University.He grew up in the Chicago area and is an avid alpine skier and dedicated jazz fan.
