Jessica is the Global Head of Corporate Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions. In this role, she is drives the formulation of the strategic agenda, key corporate initiatives, as well as all major transaction activity carried out by the business. Jessica is also a member of the Global Leadership Team at DWS.
Prior to this position, Jessica was the Head of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Strategy for DWS’s Global Alternatives Business. In this role, she led the initiative to embed ESG into the investment process across each of the businesses. In addition, she managed the sustainability efforts for private real estate business, directing investments into energy efficiency, renewable energy, and clean technologies. Jessica is also a thought leader, publishing papers, meeting with clients, and speaking at industry conferences on key issues and emerging ESG trends. In 2019,Jessica was selected as one of the leaders of DWS’ global ESG Strategic Initiative, working with the CEO, the Executive Board and key stakeholders across the organization, to develop the company’s vision, mission and execution plan to an industry leader on the topic. In this role, Jessica has been focused on capturing the commercial opportunity from ESG, and helping to define the product, client, and partnership strategy across the business.
Jessica joined DWS in 2015 with over a decade of experience in structured finance, energy and sustainability at various firms, including JPMorgan and Barclays Capital. She also spent a number of years working in two start-up companies focused on renewable energy. Both companies have since been successfully acquired. She has a Bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania
